Katrina Patient Director/Choreographer
Katrina has been involved within all facets of the performing arts since she can remember. Growing up as a dancer this lead her on to finding her confidence on stage in her drama and choir classes at school. Katrina has performed in numerous productions as a singer, actor and dancer.
She completed her Bachelor of Education and has worked as a primary school teacher, specialising in music and drama, since 2006. Her passion is finding the place for the performing arts in the primary school classroom and promoting the notion that the arts should be considered just as important as all other learning areas.
Katrina is currently the Arts Focus Coordinator at Bold Park Community School.
Trevor Patient Director
Trevor has produced and directed numerous shows, plays, revues, tours, pantomimes and theatre schools over the last 20 years (he lost count at 300) and considers himself very lucky to be both technically minded as well as creative. He has an extremely broad understanding of all aspects of theatre and production and his entrepreneurial spirit has lead to the creation of countless performances.
He studied music and drama in the UK where he also learned to conduct and he served in The Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment as a TA bandsman. He toured England and Europe with various theatre and dance companies as company/stage manager.
He moved to Perth in 2002 and soon started producing theatre schools and musicals including the very successful ‘Tribute to the Blues Brothers’ which played at nearly every major venue in Perth!
Trevor was the first to study the Stage & Production Management Bachelor of Performing Arts course at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where he now works as a casual duty technician.
David Hill Production Assistant
Always having a love of the theatrical, from the time he was very young David was fond of dressing up and acting out. Christmas presents often included home made Batman or Cowboy costumes. In Pre-Primary he enthusiastically played the lead shepherd in the Christmas show.
At the age of 6 David played the leading children’s roll in an interactive drama with Scripture Union, performed in front of 1000 people at his Church Christmas Eve Service.
His love of Drama continued on into primary school where his talent was recognised and he was selected to be part of a special drama group for years 4,5,6 and 7.
An event in family life caused David join Canteen at the age of 12. Always an active member he has received leadership training and has a TAFE accreditation in public speaking. In January 2009 he helped plan and organise a National camp for over 100 members. The Best National Camp Yet!.
Throughout his five years as a High School Drama student David has performed at many primary schools and has a great report with children of all ages.
In September 2008 he gained a weeks work experience at the Regal Theatre back stage, including lighting, setting up for “South Pacific”
David was a key figure in his schools 2009 production of Rock Eisteddfod.
